Despite the benefits of sun exposure (a previous post discussed sunlight's role as a natural source of vitamin D), too much chronic sun exposure can be harmful to one's health.
Researchers at the Broad Instiute and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute have revealed that chronic sun exposure causes increasing rates of genetic mutations, in particular, PREX2, which can lead to tumour formation.
