Eating nuts may lower pancreatic cancer risk

In a recent study, researchers analyzed data on 75,680 women from the Nurses' Health study to assess the potential association between nut consumption and the risk for pancreatic cancer. After adjusting the data for various risk factors such as smoking, age and physical activity, the researchers found that women who ate at least one ounce of nuts twice weekly had a 35 percent significantly reduced risk of pancreatic cancer when compared to those who principally did not eat nuts.
